Harnessing the Bio-Economy

Europe stands at a critical geopolitical and economic crossroads. Mario Draghi’s landmark report issued a stark warning: Europe must bridge its innovation gap or face economic decline and foreign dependency. The bioeconomy and biotechnology are no longer just environmental goals, they are the untapped drivers of Europe's clean industrial transition and part of the strategic answer to safeguarding our competitiveness. Following the European Commission’s recent Strategy for a Competitive and Sustainable EU Bioeconomy, the time to turn policy ambition into industrial reality is now.

Join us for a Renew Europe breakfast seminar on 3 June, from 8:00 to 9:30 in room ASP 5G1, to explore how the bioeconomy and biotechnology can drive our clean industrial transition, reduce dependencies, and secure EU leadership in the global green tech race.

This breakfast debate is hosted by Renew Europe’s MEPs Stine Bosse, Barry Cowen and Katri Kulmuni and we’ll be joined by industry leaders and civil society to chart the policy path forward together.

Please register here to take part in the debate. Kindly note that, in case of high interest, priority will be given to MEPs to ensure balanced participation.

We look forward to your active participation in this important discussion!
